3.3.1 KeyPal firmware upgrade supports EOS/TRON(1.4 to 2.1.04)
This update features for supporting the EOS and TRON public chains
1γIf you update for the first time, it is recommended to check the KeyPal firmware upgrade tutorial (click to view).
2γThis upgrade requires two steps (1, upgrade Bootloader 2, upgrade firmware)
Note: Before upgrading, please check whether the driver installation is correct. Upgrading from a lower version such as 1.4.05 to version 2.1.04 requires two driver environment installations. The methods are as follows: Driver download address: https://wallet.keypal.pro/data/client/zadig-2.5.exe
When the hardware is turned off, insert the data cable to connect to the computer, double-click the Zadig installation package, and click Install WCID Driver to install the driver;
2.When the hardware device is turned off, press and hold the down button, and insert the data cable to connect to the computer, double-click the Zadig installation package, and click Install WCID Driver to install the driver;
First upgrade
Open the link https://connect.keypal.pro/, turn on the KeyPal and insert it to the computer, click the WEB link that pops up in the lower right corner to open the management interface, then you can see the prompt content in the figure below. We need to start from the first step, and click [Upgrade Available].
1-1. You can see the version information of the firmwares upgrade on the interface. click [Upgrade Firmware].
1-2. Please ensure that the mnemonic phrases have been fully backed up, then check the box to confirm and click [Continue].
1-3. Follow the prompts and reconnect the KeyPal.
1-4. When you see [Device is ready], click [Install firmware], and press the Yes button on the KeyPal in accordance with the prompt to start the first update process.
1-5. When the upgrade is completed, you will see the prompt.
After the first upgrade is completed, turn on the KeyPal, and it will automatically switch off. (Equivalent to activation)
Second upgrade
Open https://connect.keypal.pro/ again,Press and hold the KeyPal button "O" to power on, the display "Update bootloader sucessful" flashes and automatically shuts down, indicating that the first step of the upgrade is successful. At this time, press and hold the hardware down button and insert the data cable and connect it to the computer, then click the WEB link that pops up in the lower right corner to open the management interface, you can see the prompt in the figure below, click Step 2 [Upgrade available]
2-1. On the upgrade interface, you can see the version information of the firmwares, click [Upgrade Firmware].
2-2. Please confirm that the mnemonic phrases have been fully backed up, check the box to confirm and click [Continue].
2-3. Next follow the prompts and reinsert the KeyPal while pressing the down key.
2-4. When you see the prompt [Device is ready], click [Upgrade Firmware], and press the Yes button on the KeyPal according to the prompt to start the second firmware update process.
2-5. Click [Close] after the upgrade is complete.
Now we have completed all the upgrades.
