This tutorial demonstrates firmware upgrade based on version 2.3.08.

*This update includes the following main contents:

1. ETH EIP-712 v3 Signature/Empty Array Issue.

2. Support for Taproot, Support for Schnorr Signatures.

3. Added clearing of SE verification when the device screen is off.

Note: In this upgrade process, the one-click upgrade is supported, and there is no need to plug and unplug the data cable.

1.Not activated - meaning that the hardware device has not been created with a password, you can enter upgrade mode using the following method.

2.Already Activated - If the hardware device has already generated a mnemonic, you can proceed with the following tutorial for direct upgrade.

Open the link https://connect.keypal.pro/ using the Google Chrome browser. Power off KeyPal, connect it to the computer, and click on the web link prompt that appears in the bottom right corner to open the management interface.

You can see the prompt in the following image, click on 'Upgrade Available'.

1-1. In the firmware upgrade interface, you can see the version information for firmware upgrade. Click on 'Upgrade Firmware'.

1-2. Please confirm that you have fully backed up the mnemonic information. Check 'Yes, I have backed up' and click on 'Continue'.

1-3. When you see the prompt 'Device is ready,' click on 'Upgrade Firmware.' Follow the prompts to press the 'Yes' button on KeyPal and start the update.

1-4. Confirm the upgrade operation and press the device's right button to confirm.

1-5. Wait for the upgrade to complete (estimated 1-2 minutes).

Upgrade complete, the hardware screen displays: Succeed, press any key to continue. You can unplug the data cable now.

Congratulations, you have successfully completed the firmware upgrade process.
